Team Merrells at Primal Quest
(June 23-July 2)
Yes, we have two teams at this year’s Primal Quest. Teams Merrell-Zanfel (US/AUS/NZ) and Merrell Halti Multimania (Norway/US) will participate in the 10-day, non-stop event dubbed the "World's Most Challenging Human Endurance Competition," mountain biking, trail running/trekking, paddling, climbing and orienteering their way through the 500+ mile (800 km) course in the Montana Wilderness.
Merrell provided the Overdrive II to the 80+ volunteers and footwear and apparel to the staff. What are the Merrell teams wearing? Overdrive II, Cruise Control and Moab Ventilator Mid.
Additional teams with members wearing Merrell, to mention a few, include: Too Much Fun Club (UK), Intrepid (US), Team 29 (US), Low Country (US), and Shasta (USA).

Team Merrell-ZanfelCaptain Robyn Benincasa (41) has three new ringer teammates (former teammates Jeff Mitchell and Neil Jones retired and Ian Edmond is taking a break). Aaron Prince (28, New Zealand) and Travis Macy (25, Colorado) are up-and-coming adventure racers and multi-sport athletes (Travis recently won the Colorado State Snowshoeing Championships). Veteran racer John Jacoby (43, Australia) is the fourth team member. Both Robyn and John have raced with and against Travis's and Aaron’s parents!
Team Merrell Halti Multimania Adventure racing team was established in 2002 and is based in Oslo, Norway. As the top-ranking adventure racing team in Norway, race experience includes USARA US Nationals, Raid World Championships, the Balance Bar series, AR World series, Terra Incognita, Bimbache Extreme and many more. Consisting of Vigleik Sexe (36), Celeste Hoffman-Luke (36, USA), Per Christian Sjøli (36) and Erling Katla (36), they won the short course 2007 Nordic Adventure Racing Championship.
